BUK Senate Expels 57 Students Over Exam Misconduct in Strict Action

The Senate of Bayero University Kano (BUK) has approved the expulsion of 57 students for involvement in examination misconduct. The decision was made during the 427th Senate meeting on September 10, 2025.

The university confirmed that the disciplinary action was taken in strict accordance with the General Examination Academic Regulations (GEAR) governing academic conduct. The affected students were from various faculties and departments across the university.

Additionally, the Senate deferred judgment on one candidate pending further investigation by the Senate Committee. This expulsion is part of the institution's commitment to upholding academic integrity and ensuring students adhere to established standards of conduct.
