Buratai Initiative Announces Winners of Young Adult Literature Competition in Nigeria

The Buratai Initiative has revealed the winners of the Young Adult Literature Competition from Nigeria's six geopolitical zones, recognizing authors like Adoo Gyuur, Daniel Yohanna, E. R.

Umukoro, Ikemefuna Chinenyeik Ezemagu, Sarah Yousouf, and Yusrah Bashir Gaga. The initiative aims to foster young adult literature in Nigeria, offering significant prize money to encourage participation.

Established in 2024, the competition has seen a rise in prize amounts, with winners from each zone receiving N250,000 and the grand prize winner taking home N1 million. The initiative seeks to promote literacy and leisure reading among young Nigerians, especially in the young adult literature genre.
