Senate Deputy President's Foundation to Distribute N20,000 to 10,000 Less Privileged Residents

Barau Jibrin, Deputy President of the Nigerian Senate, announced a plan to distribute N20,000 to 10,000 less privileged residents across Kano State's 44 local government areas through the Barau Jibrin Foundation (BIJF). The initiative aims to support vulnerable groups and promote grassroots development.

Beneficiaries, selected from Kano North and South Senatorial Districts, will receive cash disbursements starting from October 9, 2025. The foundation's efforts include foreign scholarships, healthcare support, and agricultural initiatives to alleviate economic hardship and enhance livelihoods in the state, emphasizing empowerment of women and youth.
