Konga Accuses Burna Boy of Copying His Style and Slogans

Nigerian singer Konga has publicly accused Grammy-winning artist Burna Boy of copying his style and signature slogans without giving proper credit. Konga made these claims during an appearance on the "Don’t Lie" podcast aired on Cool FM Nigeria's YouTube channel.

He alleges that Burna Boy adopted elements of his style in the remix of the song "Sungba," which features Asak. Konga previously called Burna Boy's attention to this issue on social media but did not receive a response.

He believes he deserves 60% of the revenue from the track, alleging that his work was sampled without a formal agreement. Konga compared this situation to Burna Boy's hit song "Last Last," which sampled Toni Braxton's work; Braxton reportedly received a significant share of royalties despite considering legal action.

Konga ultimately chose not to sue Burna Boy and instead recorded a new track sampling Burna Boy's music in hopes of a possible collaboration. However, their relationship later became strained again, and Burna Boy has yet to publicly respond to these allegations.
