Galatasaray Coach Buruk Misses Osimhen in Kocaelispor Win

Okan Buruk, the head coach of Galatasaray, admitted that his team missed Victor Osimhen during their 1-0 victory against Kocaelispor. The match, held at home, saw centre-back Abdulkerim Bardakci score the only goal 19 minutes before full-time.

Osimhen was sidelined for the second consecutive match due to an injury sustained during Galatasaray's 3-2 win over Istanbul Başakşehir on September 4. Buruk noted that Osimhen's absence was particularly felt due to his ability to lead the team's pressing and challenge opposing defenders.

He stated, “Having Osimhen is a strength... Just having him on the field makes a difference.” Despite this, Buruk expressed confidence in his squad's quality to compete without Osimhen, emphasizing the importance of having a clinical striker.

He also praised Deniz Türüç for his performance in his first match, highlighting that he had multiple scoring opportunities.
