Galatasaray's Okan Buruk Confident Ahead of Sporting Clash

Galatasaray manager Okan Buruk has expressed confidence in his team's ability to secure a positive result against Sporting Lisbon in the UEFA Champions League, despite the absence of two crucial players, Victor Osimhen and Mario Lemina, who are sidelined with muscle injuries. This marks Galatasaray's second consecutive season in the Champions League, following their impressive Round of 16 finish last season.

Buruk emphasized that the upcoming match serves as an early test for his squad's capability to handle the challenges of European competition amid their current injury woes. Reports had suggested that club captain Abdülkerim Bardakcı was also injured, but Buruk quickly dismissed these claims, confirming that Bardakcı is fit and available for selection.

Additionally, Baris Alper Yilmaz is set to replace Osimhen in the number nine position for the match against Sporting Lisbon.
