By-Election: APC Accuses Makinde, PDP Of Shielding Candidate From Debate

The APC medium team has accused Governor Seyi Makinde and the PDP of shielding their candidate, Folajimi Oyekunle, from a debate in the upcoming by-election for the Ibadan North federal constituency. The APC team, led by Adewale Olatunji, criticized the governor for allegedly trying to market a less competent candidate to the enlightened people of the constituency.

They expressed concern over the governor's control over the candidate selection process, suggesting that Oyekunle may not be the best choice for the PDP. In response, the APC candidate, Adewale Murphy Olatunji, has come under heavy criticism for allegedly distributing sachet alcohol as part of his campaign.

The by-election is scheduled for August 16, 2025, and tensions are rising as both parties prepare for the contest.
