Bye-Election: Rep Member Commends INEC, Security Agencies As Kaduna Records Steady Voter Turnout

A bye-election in Kaduna State saw a steady voter turnout, with a member of the House of Representatives commending INEC and security agencies for their efforts. The lawmaker, Jalo, observed the exercise at LEA Primary School in Narayi, Chikun Local Government Area, noting that residents gradually showed up to vote despite a slow start.

He praised the security agencies for maintaining calm at polling centers since Friday night. Jalo gave INEC a passing mark but suggested areas for improvement.

He urged eligible voters in Chikun and across Kaduna State to participate in large numbers, emphasizing the importance of civic duty and constitutional rights. The bye-election was scheduled by INEC following the declaration of the seat in the Federal Constituency as vacant.
