CAF Delegation Inspects Abuja for Upcoming Events

A 15-member delegation from the Confederation of African Football (CAF), led by Dr Christian Emeruwa, conducted an inspection of facilities in Abuja as part of the final assessment for Nigeria's hosting of the 48th CAF Ordinary General Assembly on November 21 and the CAF Awards in Lagos on December 7. The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) team, led by Dr Ademola Olajire, accompanied the delegation during the inspection of key venues, including the Bola Ahmed Tinubu International Conference Centre, Transcorp Hilton Hotel, and Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport.
During discussions with Mallam Shehu Dikko, Chairman of the National Sports Commission (NSC), the CAF officials addressed logistical arrangements such as accommodation, transportation, and immigration procedures. Dikko assured the delegation of the Federal Government's commitment to ensuring successful events.
This inspection was the delegation's second visit, with a report to be submitted to CAF management after completion. The Local Organising Committee's formation is also underway to facilitate coordination.
