CAF Team Inspects Abuja for Upcoming General Assembly

A 15-member inspection team from the Confederation of African Football (CAF), led by Dr. Christian Emeruwa, evaluated Nigeria's readiness to host the 48th CAF Ordinary General Assembly in Abuja and the CAF Awards in Lagos. The events are scheduled for November 21 in Abuja and December 7 in Lagos.
The CAF officials, accompanied by a six-member delegation from the National Football Federation (NFF) led by Dr. Ademola Olajire, inspected key facilities in Abuja, including the Bola Ahmed Tinubu International Conference Centre, Transcorp Hilton Hotel, and Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport. During a meeting with the National Sports Commission Chairman, Mallam Shehu Dikko, they discussed accommodation, transportation, immigration, visa procedures, and hospitality arrangements.
Dikko confirmed the Federal Government's commitment to a world-class hosting and stated that accommodation and transportation issues had been resolved. A Local Organising Committee will be formed to facilitate coordination.
This inspection was the team's second and final assessment, with findings to be submitted to CAF before their departure on November 23.
