Caicedo Urges Chelsea to Keep Fernández Amid Madrid Rumors

Moises Caicedo, a Chelsea midfielder, expressed his strong desire for Enzo Fernández to remain with the club amidst ongoing transfer speculation linking Fernández to Real Madrid. Caicedo stated that Fernández is crucial to the team and urged Chelsea not to sell him.

Reports indicate that Real Madrid has shown interest in Fernández since before the 2022 World Cup, with Chelsea reportedly placing a €120 million price tag on him. However, Real Madrid has denied any approach for Fernández.

Caicedo praised Fernández during a training session, highlighting his respect for him as both a player and a person. Fernández, who joined Chelsea from Benfica for a Premier League-record fee of £106 million in January 2023, has six years remaining on his contract.

His future has been questioned after he expressed a desire to live in Madrid. Chelsea's current coach, Xabi Alonso, has also been involved in discussions to retain Fernández as the team prepares for the upcoming season.
