Chelsea Sets £120M Price for Enzo Fernandez with Deadline

Chelsea FC has established a deadline of 5pm BST on Friday for clubs interested in midfielder Enzo Fernandez to submit offers of at least £120 million. Fernandez's future has been uncertain since March when he hinted at leaving amid interest from Real Madrid.

His agent, Javier Pastore, stated that Fernandez felt underpaid and wanted to exit after a challenging season for Chelsea, which finished 10th in the Premier League and lost the FA Cup final to Manchester City. Chelsea, having paid £107 million to sign Fernandez from Benfica in 2023, is firm on their £120 million valuation.

Real Madrid has reportedly shown no interest, leaving Manchester City as a potential suitor, although they have not confirmed their willingness to meet the asking price. New Chelsea manager Xabi Alonso has discussed Fernandez's future with him but has not disclosed details.

Chelsea is prepared to reintegrate Fernandez into the squad if no acceptable offers are made, as they consider him an important member of the team.
