CAN Raises Concern Over Ini Edo’s ‘A Very Dirty Christmas’ Movie, Urges Title Review

The association emphasizes the need for creative freedom while cautioning against offending religious sentiments in a diverse country like Nigeria.

CAN calls for a thorough review by the Nigerian Film and Video Censors Board (NFVCB) and urges the Actor's Guild of Nigeria (AGN) and other stakeholders in the Nollywood industry to address religious themes with sensitivity. Actress Ini Edo, the movie's producer, is urged to reconsider the title and issue a public apology to ensure respect for religious symbols and values.
