Toronto Man Charged with Child Sexual Assault

Idri Olajid Oladejo, a 35-year-old resident of Toronto, has been charged with sexual assault and sexual interference after an alleged incident involving a child at a grocery store. The Toronto Police Service reported that the assault occurred on June 21, 2026, around 7 p.m. in the area of Victoria Park Avenue and St.

Clair Avenue East. The child's parents reported the incident after the victim informed them of the assault.

Following the report, the suspect fled the scene, prompting a civilian chase. The police released a description of the suspect, who was believed to be around 30 years old, with a thin build, last seen wearing a green t-shirt, dark-colored Adidas shorts, and pink Crocs.

Oladejo was arrested on June 23, 2026, and is scheduled to appear in court at the Toronto Region Bail Centre on the same day at 9:30 a.m. The charges against him remain allegations, and he is presumed innocent until proven guilty in court.
