Cancer Survivor Accuses Blessing CEO of Fraudulent Fundraising

Mbaba Deborah has accused Blessing CEO of forging her medical report to solicit donations under false pretenses for her alleged stage four breast cancer. Deborah initially engaged with Blessing CEO, believing in her genuine health struggles and offering support.

However, she later discovered that her medical records were used without her consent in a fundraising appeal that gained significant traction on social media. Deborah expressed shock upon learning that her altered medical report was online, stating she had no knowledge of its use and felt exploited during an already traumatic time as a cancer patient.

Following public outrage and backlash, she urged Blessing CEO to clarify the situation and apologize. The Nigerian Medical Association has distanced itself from the controversy surrounding the altered histology report, which traces back to a laboratory result issued on May 9, 2025.

The incident has triggered widespread criticism and calls for an investigation into the fundraising process, with demands for possible refunds of donations.
