Delta NMA Disowns Histology Report Linked to Blessing Okoro

The Delta State branch of the Nigerian Medical Association (NMA) issued a statement disowning a histology report used by Blessing Okoro, a relationship coach known as Bless CEO. The NMA clarified that the report, which indicated a breast cancer diagnosis, actually belonged to another patient, Mbara Deborah, who was referred to a private hospital in Asaba for confirmation.

The report was issued on May 9, 2025, by Xinu Medic Diagnostics. The NMA emphasized the importance of integrity among its members and stated that the report went viral, leading to public confusion.

Okoro had previously announced her stage four breast cancer diagnosis and raised at least N13 million for treatment, which has come under scrutiny. During an Instagram live session, she denied the stage four diagnosis and claimed miscommunication.

The controversy has led to calls for refunds of donations, with public figures like Georgina Onuoha and Alafaa Kariboy urging legal action.
