Chery iCAUR V23: Electric SUV with 5-Star Safety Rating

The Carloha Chery iCAUR V23 is a fully electric off-road SUV recently introduced to the Nigerian market, showcasing its 5-star safety rating from ASEAN NCAP. The vehicle, developed by Chery, was presented by Felix Mahan, General Manager of Carloha Nigeria, at an event in Lagos during the Chinese New Year celebrations.

The iCAUR V23 features a retro-inspired design combined with modern electric engineering, measuring approximately 4,220mm in length, 1,915mm in width, and 1,845mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,735mm. It is available in two configurations: a rear-wheel drive (2WD) producing 136 PS and a dual motor intelligent wheel drive (IWD) producing 211 PS.

The SUV's battery options include a 59.9 kWh lithium iron phosphate battery offering a range of 401 km and an 81.8 kWh battery providing 501 km. The vehicle also supports vehicle-to-load (V2L) capabilities and incorporates advanced driver assistance systems, contributing to its high safety performance.
