Carlos Queiroz Resigns as Ghana Coach After World Cup Exit

Carlos Queiroz announced his resignation as the head coach of the Ghana national football team on Sunday, following their elimination from the 2026 FIFA World Cup. Ghana's campaign ended with a 1-0 defeat to Colombia in the round of 32, marking a disappointing exit for the four-time African champions.

Queiroz, who was appointed in April 2023 after the dismissal of Otto Addo, had high expectations but failed to guide the team beyond the first knockout round. Despite the disappointing outcome, Queiroz expressed pride in the commitment shown by the players during his tenure.
