Carlos Queiroz Resigns as Ghana Coach After World Cup Exit

Carlos Queiroz has resigned from his position as the coach of the Ghana National Football Team after their elimination from the World Cup at the last 32 stage. Ghana was defeated 1-0 by Colombia in a match held in Kansas City.

Queiroz, who previously coached Iran in the last World Cup in Qatar, expressed a sense of pride in his achievements but also dissatisfaction with the team's performance. He emphasized the need for Ghana to push forward and develop its extraordinary football talent.

Queiroz was appointed as the coach in April after the dismissal of Otto Addo. He urged the Ghanaian football authorities to create the best possible environment for the players to prepare and develop, indicating that the future of the Black Stars would not be built solely on his tenure.
