The challenge was made in the presence of Kcee and Portable, where Efe expressed his desire to face Wizkid in the ring, stating that he wants to fight Wizkid and collect a championship title.

Efe's challenge appears to stem from long-standing grievances, particularly regarding Wizkid's previous lack of support for Efe's tribute song titled "Manchala." Despite Efe's repeated remarks and jabs at Wizkid, the singer has largely ignored these comments and has yet to respond to the boxing challenge. Notably, Wizkid's son, Boluwatif Balogun, was present during the confrontation, adding a personal element to the challenge.
