Casablanca to Host FIFA World Cup 2026 Final

Fouzi Lekjaa, the President of the Royal Moroccan Football Federation (RMFF), stated that the final of the FIFA World Cup 2026 will be held in Casablanca. This announcement was reported by the Spanish news agency EFE on Thursday.

FIFA has not yet confirmed the venue for the final match. Lekjaa also mentioned that the province of Benslimane will host the 2030 World Cup final during a political party event in Bouznika, Morocco.

A FIFA spokesperson indicated that a decision regarding the final venue will be made in due course. Benslimane, located 60 kilometers from Casablanca, is the site of the $1 billion Hassan II stadium, which is currently under construction and will have a projected capacity of 115,000, making it the largest football-specific stadium in the world.

The upcoming World Cup will be unique, with matches held across six countries in three continents, starting with the opening games in Argentina, Paraguay, and Uruguay, while Morocco, Portugal, and Spain will host the majority of the tournament.
