1.6 Million Apply for CDCFIS Recruitment, 60,000 Shortlisted

The Civil Defence, Fire, and Immigration Service Board (CDCFIS) announced that over 1.6 million Nigerians applied for its ongoing recruitment exercise, with 60,000 candidates shortlisted for the physical screening stage. Maj Gen Abdulmalik Jibril (retd) revealed this information on Friday in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State.
He stated that 30,000 successful applicants will eventually be recruited into the service. The physical screening exercise is set to commence on Monday and will be conducted simultaneously across 14 designated centers nationwide to ensure applicants have access to screening locations close to their states.
The process will include verification of uploaded documents and a physical medical assessment to determine candidates' fitness for service. The board emphasized that the recruitment process is strictly merit-based and warned applicants against engaging in fraudulent practices.
Successful candidates will also participate in a computer-based test (CBT) scheduled for November 2025.
