Champions League: Carragher predicts stage Chelsea will get eliminated from competition

Liverpool legend Jamie Carragher has predicted that Chelsea will be eliminated from the group phase of the UEFA Champions League this season. Carragher made this prediction during an interview on the Overlap podcast, confidently stating that the west London club will not progress to the knockout stage.

Chelsea, who finished fourth in the Premier League last season, are making a return to the Champions League after a brief hiatus. Carragher pointed out that Chelsea have only qualified for the Champions League group stage twice in their history, last achieving this in 2012.

He believes that the Blues will not be able to repeat this feat in 2021 under the management of Thomas Tuchel.
