Super Eagles Prepare for Friendlies Against Poland, Portugal

Eric Chel, the head coach of the Super Eagles, has expressed a strong determination ahead of Nigeria's friendly matches against Poland and Portugal scheduled for June. Chel acknowledged the absence of several key players, including Victor Osimhen and Ademola Lookman, but emphasized that the team will not use this as an excuse.

He stated that the Super Eagles aim to compete fiercely against these World Cup-bound nations. Chel praised Poland as a good team and recognized the strength of Portugal's squad, which includes notable players like Cristiano Ronaldo, Bruno Fernandes, and Vitinha.

The Super Eagles captain, Wilfred Ndidi, along with other players, arrived in Warsaw on Monday for the friendly against Poland. The team has been on an impressive unbeaten streak, having gone 19 games without a loss, scoring 37 goals and conceding 14.

Chel's leadership has been pivotal in guiding the Super Eagles towards a third-place finish in the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations.
