Chel Expresses Concern Over Osimhen, Lookman Absences

Eric Chel, the current coach of the Super Eagles, lamented the absence of key players Victor Osimhen and Ademola Lookman ahead of Nigeria's friendly matches against Poland and Portugal. Chel confirmed that Osimhen, who plays for Galatasaray, and Lookman will not participate in the matches scheduled for June 3 in Warsaw and June 10 in Leiria.

Other players missing include Alhassan Yusuf and Samson Tijani, who are unable to travel due to visa issues. Chel mentioned that Femi Azeez will also not be released by his club for the matches.

He clarified that Osimhen's absence is linked to ongoing developments regarding the striker's future, but emphasized that his comments were taken out of context. The Super Eagles recently secured a 3-0 victory over Jamaica, claiming their fourth title in an invitational tournament.

Chel expressed his commitment to approaching the upcoming friendlies seriously, despite the player absences.
