NOA Advocates for Protection of Nigerian Children on Children's Day

On Children's Day, the National Orientation Agency (NOA), represented by Deputy Director of Communications Paul Odenyi, issued a statement from Abuja urging the protection of Nigerian children. The agency described children as the nation's hope and strength for the future.

Odenyi emphasized the collective responsibility of the government, parents, teachers, religious institutions, and society at large to safeguard the rights and welfare of every Nigerian child. He encouraged children to reject negative social influences, including crime, drug abuse, cultism, cybercrime, and violence, while promoting values of hard work and creativity.

The NOA remains committed to promoting civic values and responsible citizenship through public enlightenment programs targeting young Nigerians in schools and communities across the country. Odenyi also commended parents, teachers, and caregivers for their sacrifices in nurturing children despite prevailing socio-economic challenges.

The agency wished all Nigerian children a happy and inspiring Children's Day celebration in 2026.
