Nigerian Children Celebrated on 2027 Children's Day

On the occasion of the 2027 Children's Day celebration, Paul Odenyi, the Director General of the National Orientation Agency, congratulated Nigerian children and described them as the hope and strength for the nation's future. He called on children across Nigeria to remain committed to learning, discipline, patriotism, and moral excellence to prepare for their roles as future leaders.

Odenyi highlighted the importance of protecting the rights and welfare of every Nigerian child, asserting that the future of the nation greatly depends on the educational opportunities provided to children today. He encouraged children to avoid negative social influences such as crime, drug abuse, cultism, cybercrime, and violence, urging them instead to embrace integrity, hard work, and creativity.

The Director General reaffirmed the agency's commitment to promoting civic values and responsible citizenship through public enlightenment programs targeting young Nigerians. He commended parents, teachers, and caregivers for their sacrifices in nurturing children despite socio-economic challenges, and wished all Nigerian children a happy and inspiring Children's Day.
