China Appoints Wang Jun as New U20 Women's Coach

The Chinese Football Association has appointed Wang Jun as the new head coach of the U20 women's national team, succeeding Colin Bell, who was dismissed. This decision is part of China's preparations for the 2026 FIFA U20 Women's World Cup, where they are drawn in Group F alongside defending champions Spain, Nigeria's Falconets, and New Caledonia.

The association expressed confidence in Wang Jun's experience and technical abilities to guide the team through the tournament. The appointment marks a fresh approach as the team intensifies its preparations, with a training camp scheduled from July 6 to July 10, 2026, at the Kunming Haigeng Sports Training Base in Yunnan Province.

This camp will be Wang Jun's first official assignment, allowing him to work closely with the players and improve tactics, organization, and team chemistry.
