Chinese Ambassador Warns Nationals Against Illegal Mining in Nigeria

Chinese Ambassador to Nigeria, Yu Dunhai, issued a warning to Chinese nationals living in Nigeria against engaging in illegal activities, particularly illegal mining. During a visit to the Governor of Ogun State, Prince Dapo Abiodun, Dunhai emphasized that Chinese nationals must abide by the laws of the host country.

He encouraged Chinese investors to come to Nigeria legally and contribute to the local economy. The Chinese government has a zero-tolerance policy towards illegal activities, including illegal mining.

Dunhai highlighted China's commitment to assisting Nigeria in overcoming food security challenges and expressed interest in further economic cooperation. Governor Abiodun acknowledged China's significant contribution to Nigeria's economic and infrastructural development and expressed readiness to partner with Chinese investors in various sectors.

The partnership aims to benefit both parties and contribute to the overall development of Ogun State.
