Waddle Urges Saka to Emulate Salah's Goal-Scoring Instincts

Chris Waddle, a former England winger, advised Arsenal star Bukayo Saka to adopt goal-scoring traits similar to those of Liverpool's Mohamed Salah. Waddle emphasized that Saka's top-class performances have improved, positioning him as a central figure in Arsenal's pursuit of the Premier League title, which they last won 22 years ago.

During the 2025-26 campaign, Saka scored seven goals in the Premier League and totaled 13 league goals over the last two seasons. Waddle highlighted Saka's qualities, including his ability to outsmart defenders and become a significant attacking threat.

He noted the differences in playing styles between Salah and Saka, particularly Salah's instinct to occupy dangerous spaces in the penalty box. Waddle also expressed concerns regarding England's squad selection, criticizing the inclusion of Saka's teammate Noni Madueke over West Ham's Jarrod Bowen, despite Saka being a primary attacking threat for the England national team.
