Oilserv's Commitment to Nigeria's Gas Infrastructure Growth

Chuka Eze, the Managing Director of Frazimex Engineering, representing the Oilserv Group, highlighted the company's dedication to building gas infrastructure to bolster Nigeria's economy. Speaking at the Nigerian International Energy Summit, he addressed the Ajaokuta-Kaduna-Kano (AKK) gas pipeline project, which is crucial for harnessing Nigeria's abundant gas resources to power the industrial sector.

According to the Nigerian Midstream and Downstream Regulatory Authority (NMDPRA), Nigeria's proven gas reserves stand at 210 trillion cubic feet (tcf). Eze noted that gas must be extracted, processed, and transported to meet the growing demand.

Oilserv plays a key role in engineering and constructing essential gas infrastructure, including the notable OB3 pipeline project. The OB3 pipeline is 127 km long with a capacity of 2 billion standard cubic feet per day.

Eze also mentioned ongoing projects like the Akk pipeline and the Assa North-Ohaji South project, emphasizing the need for significant upstream investment and effective policies to drive the gas sector forward.
