CIBN President-Elect Dele Alabi Calls for Unity

Dele Alabi, the newly elected president of the Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria (CIBN), called for unity among members to sustain the institute's legacy during his address following his election as the 24th president at the annual general meeting held on Saturday in Lagos. Alabi highlighted that his mandate is not merely a personal milestone but a collective responsibility that requires cooperation from all members.

He urged the banking community, including those in the Nigerian diaspora, to remain united in sustaining the institute's legacy. Alabi paid tribute to the foundational work laid by his predecessor, Piu Olanrewaju, whose tenure saw significant growth for the institute.

He acknowledged the contributions of past leaders, particularly Olanrewaju, for establishing a strong financial foundation that will enable the institute to adapt to the rapidly evolving financial landscape and maintain its leading role in shaping the industry.
