CIPM Inducts 1,573 New HR Professionals in Nigeria

The Chartered Institute of Personnel Management Nigeria (CIPM) held its 70th induction ceremony, where 1,573 new HR professionals were inducted. The event featured 65 professionals admitted through the executive route and 420 through the examination route, bringing the total number of inductees to 1,573.

Mallam Ahm Ladan Gobir, the President and Chairman of the Governing Council of CIPM, reaffirmed the institute's position as the regulatory body for human resource practice in Nigeria. He stated that practicing human resource management without CIPM certification constitutes a breach of statutory provisions.

Gobir described the ceremony as a significant moment in the institute's history, highlighting the legacy built over the years. He emphasized that CIPM has transformed human resource management from an administrative support function to a strategic leadership role within organizations.

The institute has also established partnerships with international bodies like the Chartered Institute of Personnel Development (CIPD) in the UK and the Chartered Professionals in Human Resources (CPHR) in Canada to enhance global competitiveness.
