CISLAC's Rafsanjani Wins Transparency International Award

Auwal Ibrahim Musa Rafsanjani, the Executive Director of the Civil Society Legislative Advocacy Centre (CISLAC), was honored with the Amalia Kostanyan Award for Professional Excellence by Transparency International on July 1, 2026. This award, presented during the Transparency International Movement Award ceremony marking the conclusion of the TI Summit 2026, recognizes individuals who have made exceptional contributions to advancing transparency and accountability.

Rafsanjani was acknowledged for his long-standing role in promoting democratic governance and anti-corruption reforms in Nigeria and the broader region. The award was presented by Françoise O.

Valrian, Chair of Transparency International, who praised Rafsanjani's unwavering commitment to the anti-corruption cause. In response to receiving the honor, Rafsanjani dedicated the award to the CISLAC team and its partners, reaffirming their resolve to continue promoting democratic governance and institutional reforms across Nigeria and Africa.
