Dino Melaye Critiques Chaos at Owerri Empowerment Event

Dino Melaye, a former senator from Kogi West, commented on the chaos that occurred during an empowerment program organized by the Citi Boi Movement in Owerri, Imo State. The event aimed to support youth and small business owners by distributing items such as vehicles, sewing machines, and tools.

However, the situation escalated when a large crowd rushed to the distribution area, leading to a scramble for items and creating panic among attendees. Despite the presence of security personnel, the number of attendees exceeded expectations, making it difficult to control the crowd.

Melaye took to social media to express his thoughts on the incident, stating that "village boys" had invaded a program that rightfully belonged to "city boys." The empowerment program was part of a series organized by the Citi Boi Movement, which has been active in supporting youth entrepreneurship across Nigeria.
