Civic Group Urges INEC Chairman to Prioritize Voter Accessibility and Transparency

The Unified Nigeria Youth Forum (UNYF) calls on the new INEC Chairman, Prof. Joash Amupitan, to focus on improving voter accessibility and transparency to address disenfranchisement issues.

Concerns were raised about administrative bottlenecks limiting voter card access, particularly in rural areas. The forum highlighted the importance of inclusivity in voter registration processes and expressed worries over low voter registration numbers.

Additionally, the group commended a recent gesture by Nyesom Wike in providing housing for judges to promote transparency. UNYF reaffirmed its commitment to supporting reforms for democratic participation and institutional strengthening.
