CLEEN Foundation Pushes for Better Budgeting in Akwa Ibom's Criminal Justice System

The CLEEN Foundation is urging for improved budgeting to strengthen the implementation of criminal justice laws in Akwa Ibom State. The foundation's Executive Director, Peter Maduoma, highlighted the challenges of poor budgeting and inadequate funding for the state's criminal justice system.

A workshop was conducted to address resource allocation, skill development, and inter-agency coordination. The initiative is part of a Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs program aimed at advancing women's rights and peace and security in Nigeria.
