Nigeria Launches Climate-Smart Village Initiative to Boost Food Sufficiency and Cut Imports

The Climate-Smart Village Initiative, introduced by Howard Usen of NAADI, is set to revolutionize sustainable agriculture in Nigeria by integrating modern irrigation systems and organic soil regeneration technologies. This initiative will enable farmers to cultivate crops throughout the year, reducing the nation's reliance on food imports.

Implemented in partnership with the Cross River Basin Development Authority, the project will boost agricultural productivity in Akwa Ibom State. The initiative aims to address climate change challenges and enhance Nigeria's agricultural competitiveness on a global scale.
