Sowore Calls Tinubu Clueless Over Hunger Comments

Activist and politician Omoyele Sowore has labeled President Bola Tinubu as "clueless" following Tinubu's remarks about hunger in Nigeria. During a speech at the Presidential Villa in Abuja, Tinubu claimed that hunger has been a longstanding issue in Nigeria, existing long before his birth.

He made these comments while defending his economic record and addressing the country's economic challenges, population growth, and reform outcomes. In response, Sowore expressed his disbelief on social media, questioning whether Tinubu sought power to continue the cycle of hunger rather than to eliminate it.

Sowore's post on X included the statement: “If hunger existed before you were born @officialABAT wasn’t that exactly why you sought power, to end it?” He further accused Tinubu and his associates of perpetuating hunger in Nigeria, using the hashtags #TinubuMustGO and #Sowore2027.
