Coach Maikaba Aims to Return Bayelsa United to NPFL

Coach Maikaba, the current coach of Bayelsa United, expressed his commitment to returning the club to the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) following a preseason victory over De Go-Pro FC of Sapele. As the Nigeria National League (NNL) prepares to commence on Saturday, October 31, Maikaba stated that the team is focused on the upcoming challenges.

He mentioned that they are currently assessing players for recruitment, indicating that any player who does not add value to the team will be released. Maikaba, who signed a one-year contract with Bayelsa United, is determined to face all opponents in the abridged campaign without preference.

He declared that the team's objective is to qualify for the Premier League within one season, showcasing their readiness to confront any team they are drawn against.
