Bayelsa United Resumes Training for NNL Season

Bayelsa United has officially resumed training at Samson Siasia Stadium in Yenagoa, marking the beginning of their pre-season activities for the 2026/2027 Nigeria National League (NNL) season. The training session was supervised by the club's technical crew, led by assistant coach Ngozi Elechi and alongside Anderson West.

The coaching staff is assessing player fitness and tactical routines in preparation for an intensive build-up program. Players are expected to join the team in the coming days as they gear up for the Prosper Cup pre-season tournament in Yenagoa.

The club's vision, supported by Governor Douye Diri, is to return to the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) by the end of the 2026/27 season. Godson Ekard, a member of the board, emphasized the importance of discipline and dedication among players as they approach the new season, aiming for strong performances and consistent results throughout the campaign.
