Seyi Makinde Urges PVC Collection for 2027 Elections

Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde has called on Nigerians to collect their Permanent Voter Cards (PVC) in preparation for the 2027 general elections. In a video shared on his social media accounts on October 6, 2026, Makinde displayed his PVC and encouraged citizens to obtain theirs.
The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) confirmed that PVC collection will begin on October 9, 2026. Makinde stated, “This is your power.
Irrespective of who you want to vote for, let’s go out, collect your PVC, and you will use it wisely.” He highlighted the significance of the PVC in enabling citizens to participate in the electoral process. Additionally, Makinde is contesting the 2027 presidential election as the presidential candidate of the Allied Peoples Movement, a position he secured in May 2026.
His campaign organization recently inaugurated its National Campaign Management Committee in Abuja, aiming to secure between 41 million and 68 million votes in the upcoming election.
