APC Chieftain Advocates Community Policing for Security

Dr. Ibrahim Moham Ajia, a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and a former governorship aspirant in Kwara State, stated that community policing is a crucial framework for addressing the insurgency in Nigeria.

Speaking in Ilorin, he highlighted the importance of local involvement in security matters, urging citizens to collaborate with security agencies to gather intelligence and combat threats to peace and development. Ajia stressed that the current security challenges in Nigeria require a collective approach, transcending political and religious differences.

He noted President Bola Ahmed Tinubu's commitment to tackling these issues, particularly through the appointment of General Christoph Musa as the new Minister of Defence. Ajia also cautioned against politicizing security matters, emphasizing that unity among citizens is essential for overcoming insecurity.

He confirmed his formal registration with the APC and expressed support for Tinubu's re-election bid, while advocating for necessary reforms to stabilize the economy and prevent collapse.
