Kaduna Advocates for Reconciliation Committee to Ease Court Congestion

In Kaduna, there is a call for the establishment of a standing committee on reconciliation to mitigate court congestion and reduce disputes. This appeal was made by Dr.

Yaya Abdullahi, the Director of the Center for Qur'anic and Arabic Studies at Kaduna State University (KASU), during the closing ceremony of the 31st annual Ramadan lecture organized by the Federation of Muslim Women in Nigeria (FOMWAN). The lecture focused on the significance of reconciliation in the Muslim community, particularly concerning marital and business disputes.

Dr. Abdullahi emphasized the need for effective reconciliation mechanisms to prevent unresolved conflicts.

Nafisat Musa Isah, the Amirah of FOMWAN in Kaduna State, noted that the organization is committed to empowering women and strengthening families to support community development. She also announced plans for FOMWAN's 40th annual national conference scheduled for August 19-24, 2025, which will focus on empowering Muslim women to face climate change and build resilient communities.
