Saraki: PDP Convention Key for 2027 Election Success

Bukola Saraki, the former Senate President, stated in an exclusive interview that the upcoming convention of the People's Democratic Party (PDP) is the party's only opportunity to contest the 2027 elections. He expressed optimism about the convention proceeding despite a court action led by Tanimu Turaki against the party.

Saraki highlighted the need for the PDP to provide a platform for various candidates, particularly younger generations, to contest different positions. He emphasized that he does not belong to any faction within the party and stressed the importance of ensuring a fair ballot process for the 2027 elections.

Saraki also addressed concerns regarding the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) and the monitoring of the convention, noting that delegates from Kwara State had to return home due to unresolved issues. He dismissed allegations of collusion with Nyesom Wike and reaffirmed his commitment to the PDP's electoral success.
