PDP Dismisses Cross River, Kebbi Congresses; Extends Nomination Deadline

The People's Democratic Party (PDP) dismissed the recent congresses in Cross River and Kebbi states, postponing them due to expired tenures of the Executive in those states. The National Working Committee (NWC) of the PDP stated that the congresses in Lagos, Oyo, Ondo, Edo, Adamawa, Borno, Niger, and Kogi were conducted successfully, with ongoing exercises in Ekiti.

The NWC will review the outcomes of the congresses and may constitute a Caretaker Committee where needed. The party extended the deadline for the submission of nomination forms for national offices to allow for consultation and consensus-building.

The PDP aims to ensure necessary provisions are met as preparations continue for the national convention in Ibadan, Oyo State.
