APC Chairman Yilwatda Advocates Membership Over Friendship

Prof. Nentaw Yilwatda, the chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), stated that the party prioritizes membership over personal friendships during a screening session held in Abuja on Tuesday.

He highlighted that every member is obligated to respect the party's system and that the APC has a commitment to ensure that its current members contest without opposition in the upcoming national convention scheduled for Friday and Saturday. Yilwatda commended the screening committee for fostering a belief in the party's system and noted the significant youth representation within the APC, with 50% of its members aged 18 to 35.

He pointed out that the party has made strides in technology-driven membership registration. Yilwatda also addressed the need for inclusivity, particularly regarding women's representation, and emphasized the importance of consolidating the party's strength across Nigeria's six geopolitical zones.

He concluded by asserting that the APC's internal processes should be respected to avoid conflicts.
