APC Explains Rejection of Aspirants' Nomination Bids

Aminu Masari, the chairman of the APC convention central coordinating committee, defended the party's decision to reject certain aspirants' bids for nomination forms. This statement was made during a media briefing in Abuja on Thursday, ahead of the APC's 8th national convention set for March 27-28, 2026.

Masari addressed public complaints regarding the denial of access to nomination forms, which some agents claimed could destabilize the party. He emphasized that the party's structure is based on zoning and that the distribution of nomination forms is managed by the committee members according to these zones.

The briefing was attended by notable figures, including Hannatu Musawa, the Minister of Art, Culture, and Tourism, and Kyamo, the vice chairman of the central committee, among others.
