Gov. Kefas Calls for Research Focus at TSU Convocation

During the combined convocation ceremony of Taraba State University (TSU) in Jalingo, held last Saturday, Governor Dr. Agbu Kefas urged the institution to transition from merely awarding certificates to becoming a center for research, innovation, and practical solutions to societal challenges. He congratulated the 25,000 graduates from four academic sessions and commended the university management for successfully hosting the event.

Governor Kefas highlighted his administration's achievements, including reducing tuition fees to enhance access to education, supporting the accreditation of various academic programs, and facilitating the admission of Law graduates into the Nigerian Law School. He reiterated his commitment to strengthening the education sector through continued investment in infrastructure and human capital development.

The Vice Chancellor, Prof. Sunday Paul Bako, described TSU as a fast-growing institution and encouraged graduates to uphold integrity and develop problem-solving skills.
