Nigerian Cooking Gas Marketers Target 6 Million Metric Tonnes to Meet Demand, Predict Price Drop

The Nigerian Association of Liquefied Petroleum Gas Marketers (NALPGAM) aims to boost Nigeria's annual LPG supply by six million metric tonnes to cater to the growing demand for cooking gas. The association's president, Oladapo Olatunbosun, highlighted the steady growth in the LPG market and outlined strategies to further develop it.

The plan includes increasing investments in the sector, collaborating with government agencies, and enhancing public acceptance of gas as a cleaner household fuel. The efforts are expected to stabilize prices and reduce dependency on imports, with initiatives from companies like Seplat Energy and Dangote Refinery contributing to the market's growth.
